Meet Our Director Nancy Martin is the Director of Zen Compassionate Care. She is also the Director of The Still Point Center for Zen Practice, which she and her husband, Bill, founded in Chico in 1999. Nancy received a Bachelor’s Degree in education from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Master’s Degree from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado. She served as a United Methodist pastor in the Phoenix, Arizona area for eleven years. For five years she was the Coordinator of Volunteers for Enloe Hospice where she trained and supervised volunteers in their work with terminal patients and their families. Nancy brings twenty years of experience in training volunteers and supporting people in their spiritual journey. She adds to this a deep commitment to Western Zen awareness practice, continuing her own journey of waking up to joy and freedom.
